CopyShuttle

Help

A few answers to keep things moving.

Do I need an account or an app?

No. Open CopyShuttle in your browser on each device. Pairing is saved in those browsers.

My invitation expired. What should I do?

Invitations last five minutes. Cancel the old invitation and create a new one. Only confirm when both comparison codes match.

How does automatic sending work?

The checkbox is off initially and remembered per browser. When enabled, pasting sends the complete field, including any existing text. A paste during a send waits for that send to succeed. Failed drafts need a manual retry.

What can I send?

Text and links, with bold, italic, underline, headings and lists. The 1 MiB limit counts the UTF-8 text plus its formatting representation. Plain text keeps the full 1 MiB allowance. Images, tables, fonts and colors are not included. Links do not load previews.

Why can’t I copy a text?

Your browser may block clipboard access. For formatted messages, try Copy plain text. You can also expand the message, then select and copy it manually. The destination app decides which formatting it accepts.

What happens when I disconnect?

Disconnecting removes the pairing and its shared history from both devices. You will be asked to confirm. A new invitation is needed to reconnect.

CopyShuttle says it is active in another tab.

Close the other CopyShuttle tab in this browser. This tab will continue automatically.
